AVAST!: Swansbrough Manor will be returning for its 20th year in 2025! The theme for this year is "Monsters & Villains".

Swansbrough Manor is looking forward to seeing their loyal fans from over the years as well as a new generation of little trick or treaters.

Our haunt is expanding this year in "Shipwreck Cove"! We have ships, pirates and new creeps, ghosts, and ghoulies. We will be new monsters & villains thoughout the haunt.

Swansbrough Manor will continue the tradition of raising donations to support the Art Program at Thomas Crossroads Elementary School where the Pirate Queen holds her daytime job as the Art Teacher.

For Halloween 2024, the Pirate Queen amassed $2,740 for the TCE Art Studio. Thanks to all who participated! The Pirate Queen was able to have a spectaculer Glow Show this past spring at the school. Many new art supplies and equipment were purchased for all students to use.

Swansbrough Manor is becoming the long-term resting place for many souls here in the south. We offer beautiful single and double spaced plots with optional front row seating. Be sure and make your final arrangements as soon as possible. Spaces are limited, and people are dying to get in.

If you are visiting Swansbrough Manor for the first time. you will enjoy the detailed photos of our estate. Additionally, our video walk-through provide a frightening example of the specters you may encounter. For the "Ghoul-Oriented" souls, we offer a detailed "How-To" section to entice you.

Swansbrough Manor was built back in 1692 by Alvin Swansbrough, a carpenter and part-time farmer. The current owner- Steve Swansbrough is the descendent of Alvin. Alvin Swansbrough built the house for his new bride Amelia. Alvin built a garden area outside of the manor for his beautiful bride to see each morning. For many years, the Swansbrough Manor gardens were a place of great beauty and tranquility. Ten years after they married, Amelia died of a sudden illness. Alvin was so distraught, that he turned the Swansbrough Manor gardens into a beautiful cemetery and shrine to his beloved bride.

Many generations of Swansbroughs have lived in the Manor. All of the family members are buried in the cemetery gardens. Some of the family members had died under very mysterious circumstances or tragic events. It is believed to be the Curse of Swansbrough Manor that brings tragedy and untimely death to each family member. Amelia is said to still haunt this place. Many believe that she is unable to cross over because she did not get a chance to live a long and happy life. Visitors have witnessed the ghost of Amelia around the Manor at night.

On Halloween night in the year 1705, the owner of Swansbrough Manor- Alvin Swansbrough, was arrested and charged with stealing a small treasure chest full of gold and jewels from an old Voodoo Priestess named Minerva LaRue. It was rumored that this chest was given to her by a band of ruthless pirates that sailed off of the island of Jamaica. The chest was payment in full to Minerva for help bringing despair and misfortune to all enemy prates. Minerva LaRue was so furious at the theft and betrayal, she placed a curse on Swansbrough Manor.

The cursed souls of these pirates and others appear at Swansbrough Manor each Halloween, terrorizing all who visit the manor.
